Dr. Blanchard says that he had several other positive role models that suggested his career path; his hockey coach was a former dentist, and his dentist and orthodontist showed him how rewarding it can be to help others the way he was helped by them. Dr. Blanchard attended University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he majored in microbiology and immunology. After graduation he then went to dental school at the University of Michigan, followed by a residency at the Illinois Masonic Medical Center. When he's not making bright smiles, Dr. Blanchard enjoys spending time at home with his fiancee and their dogs. He also likes to play hockey and go fly fishing when he gets the chance.
